The New Releases Book Tag

I’m not the greatest at keeping up with new releases as I don’t necessarily make them a priority. However, there are always a few that I’m dying to get to, so thank you Morgan @ Morgan is Reading Again for tagging me to do this!

The rules
1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Answer to all the questions down below
3. Pingback to the creator: Ellyn @ Allonsythornraxx
4. Nominate more than five bloggers you’d like to know more about, to do this tag

A new release you’ve already read

I didn’t realise I had already read 7 new releases this year! So far I’ve enjoyed all of them — they’re all above three stars — so I’m very pleased with how it’s going.

A new release that’s already come out but you haven’t read yet

These are just some of the books I’m really excited to get to, but I’m sure there are many more. Since it’s summer I’m especially excited to read Malibu Rising. I have high expectations for it and I truly hope they’re met.

A new release you just found out about

These books have just recently made it on my radar, and I’m really interested in all of them. The Project truly intrigues me since I really loved Sadie by the same author. Also, Perfect on Paper seems like a book I’d truly enjoy.

A new release you’re excited about from one of your favourite authors

Most are continuations of series I’ve been reading for a while, so, of course I want to know what’s next for the characters.

A new release you’re excited about from a new-to-you author

I’ve just chosen a few from a very long list of books. I’m already obsessed How We Fall Apart, it’s been first on my anticipated reads list ever since I found about it, and I can’t wait for it to be published already!

A new release you have no interest in

I’m sure there are lots of other books I don’t really have any interest in, but these are three that as of right now, I don’t think I will be reading.

A new release you want to pick up soon

My next immediate read is definitely going to be What We Devour because I have an ARC copy I need to review heh.

A new release that hasn’t come out yet but you can’t wait to read

It was hard to narrow it down to three, but after much thought, these are definitely the ones I’m most excited about!

A new release with an amazing cover

These covers are simply stunning. The cover for House of Hollow is possibly one of my favourite covers ever, it’s been on my mind ever since I first laid eyes on it.

Your favourite new release you’ve read so far this year

They’re three extremely different books, but I can’t choose one. Dowry of Blood is a great discovery since I’d never read anything by this author and it completely stole my heart.

I tag

  1. Celina @ Venus in Books
  2. Lila @ Hardcover Haven
  3. Sabrina @ Wordy and Whimsical
  4. Hal @ Hd’s Reading Life
  5. Jen @ Jen Rose Writes

What are some of your most anticipated reads for this year? Do you usually keep up with new releases?

  1. Can definitely recommend Malibu Rising! That was my first TJR read but definitely won’t be my last. Great set of upcoming releases, quite a lot I’ve not heard of but I’m interested to find out more about them for sure!

Great post & thanks for the tag!

  2. That’s pretty impressive that you’ve already read 7 new releases!! I’m hoping to read Act Your Age, Eve Brown very soon and I really want to read A Dowry of Blood too, so I’m glad you gave them more than three stars – and were two of your favourites!
There’s so many interesting books you’ve mentioned in this post – In The Ravenous Dark, Ace of Spades, House of Hollow, Lost in the Never Woods, Perfect on Paper and A Lesson in Vengeance are all books I want to read as soon as I can!
    Thanks for tagging me!!
