100 Followers | Bloggers Appreciation

I’ve been debating whether I should write a post about hitting 100 followers, and after giving it much thought I’ve decided that yes, I must. I feel like it’s important to first, thank you all for following me and hopefully enjoying my content and second, to celebrate this milestone.

When I started this blog back in May I had no expectations for it. I didn’t know whether anyone would care and read it or whether I’d be rambling on my own, but I’m really happy to say that not only did people apparently care—a thought which is still absolutely crazy to me—but also that this community is one of the most welcoming online spaces I’ve participated in, and for that I’m extremely grateful.

I will be very honest and confess that, despite how warm the blogsphere is, I’m still finding my place here. It is no easy feat to enter a space where everyone already knows each other and not feel like an intruder. However, slowly but surely I’m feeling more and more a part of this wonderful community. As a side note, I’ve tried my best to follow everyone on twitter so we can hopefully interact more, so yeah, this below is my annoying little account in case you didn’t recognise me.

I also want to especially thank those bloggers that followed me way back in May when I had only one or two posts up and actually stuck around: Ritz @ Living, Loving and Reading, Trisha @ Books, Reviews, and Procrastination, Rania @ Rania’s Rambling Reads, Hal @ HD’s Reading Life, Jan @ The Doodlecrafter, Amy @ A Fangirl’s Opinion, Angele @ Angele Reads Books, Silvia @ Silvia Reads Books, Aisling @ Aisling Hamill Books, and Maeve @ Books by Maeve. I am aware of how cringey it sounds, but really, getting those first followers was very exciting and I’m very very grateful to all of you!

Moreover, I want to thank more bloggers that, alongside the ones mentioned above, often comment and interact with my posts—and I with theirs, because they’re genuinely amazing. My favourite part of this blogging experience is definitely the interactions and conversations that arise, so thank you Morgan @ Morgan is Reading Again, Bertie @ Luminosity Library, Zoë @ Reading by the Moonlight, Sofii @ A Book. A Thought., Line @ First Line Reader, Naemi @ A Book Owl’s Corner, Isha @ Paperback Tomes, Lia @ An Ode to Fiction, Sabrina and Vera @ Wordy and Whimsical, Ali @ In the Lost & Found, Alix @ Alix Reads Books, and many many more that I’m probably forgetting right now.

All of this to say, thank you. I know that 100 followers is not a lot, but I wasn’t even expecting to get here, so I’m extremely grateful to every single one of you that decided to read my posts. I hope I can continue to make my way into this beautiful community and to enjoy your content and encouragement!

  1. Congratulations on 100 followers, Maria! 🎉🥳🎉 You totally deserve it, and your posts are always so interesting that I’m sure there’ll be many more in the future! And trust me, we’re all just pretending we’ve completely got the hang of things here 😉 I still need to figure out graphics at some point and don’t even have a Twitter account, so I’d say you’ve already found your place at least as well as I have 😁

  4. Congrats on hitting 100! 🥳 I still remember when I first joined the book community as a blogger—I was absolutely terrified and unsure of what to do with myself (and my blog lol) but like you said, everyone is so open and welcoming!
